I think this should be specific as to residence based vs citizenship based 🤔 resident based taxation seems like it has the potential to more directly benefits the taxee, whereas citizenship based just seems like a membership fee that you never see again 😶🎀

In america where taxes are not allocated to properly to benefit the people it’s theft, in other countries where taxes fund healthcare, and infrastructure etc instead of bombs and bail outs for corporations that arent even struggling, then they are price for a good society.

In pakistan the taxation is so low that we dont even have anyone to take our trash. Its great you just kinda throw it into the street and burn it or something idk. The roads are only bad in most areas so its ok. Poverty/illiteracy rates are crazy but we do get to keep our money.
