I voted not really, but then I remembered sometimes playing with animal crackers and playing out a scene then eating them piece by piece in a torturous manner. Does that count?

My father was a talented cook; he used to prepare dinner every night. As I got older he challenged my prejudices against certain foods and encouraged me to experiment and grow. I miss him sometimes.

I'm from the Outer Banks so we love our seafood & I'm obsessed w/ sea creatures. Any time we'd eat seafood as a kid I'd keep one in the freezer for weeks and talk to it for hours a day. Crab claws, shrimp, clams, they became my best friends LMAO

I would sometimes feel the compulsion to eat certain bits of food to avoid "offending" it or making it feel "left out" because I didn't choose to eat it. I felt that way about non-food objects too though

I still feel this way sometimes, like if I’m pouring out the last of a box of cereal and there are like some intact Cheerios left in the bag. Like I literally feel bad they didn’t get to fulfill their purpose of being eaten in a bowl w milk
