no, or at least i try not to. I regularly mention how the base concerns are at least sympathetic, or ones I often agree with - but the thing i hate is the expulsion/religiouslike attitude they go about handling those concerns. They're closer to traumatized than crying babies.

I think compassion is the right word. We may know how uneventful their immediate suffering is, but it always pains me to see my 9 month old daughter cry out in total fear when she sees her mother dissapear down a doorway. Her suffering is small to us but very real to her.

Babies are not really capable of intellectual dishonesty; they feel what they feel. Troublesome behavior generally comes from people faking/exaggerating emotions, not from actually having them. In that sense I agree with this.
