Can I identify as a trans person? I don't really know how the gendersphere works; when I try to google/ask around about definitions, the answer I get is "it's up to you".
I'm 'agender', which the internet says it's a form of nonbinary, and nonbinary people are considered trans.

If you truly feel like you don't align yourself w/ the gender assigned to you at birth then hey, maybe you are trans🙂it's all up to you! Some value labels, some reject it, some do their own thing, so its confusing but also makes sense since gender+dentity are so deeply personal!

It's confusing because while I might be trans by that definition, nothing else around trans messaging is anything I identify with. I present female, I am fine with people treating me as female, I have zero desire to have 'being trans' change how I'm treated.

This stuff seems to take up a very big chunk of your mental space relative to how big a deal it is

Anyone can identify as transgender at any moment and for any period of time... it has no bearing on material reality.

oh yeah. Me 'being agender' is a weird title that I think I could get from other people and have it be just as valid as they think it is, but I personally think it's a mostly meaningless thing.
