I usually assumed they weren't attempting to be accurate, that accuracy would be annoying for viewers, kinda like how POV cameras are artificially smooth instead of bouncing with the gait of the cameraman

Yeah tbh if movie memories looked like my memories I wouldn't watch them, lol. I feel like my memory is primarily made up of linguistic and spatial relationships rather than color and textures.
