There's pros and cons; I make my own schedule, so I can be relaxed. I also am responsible for every aspect of my income, which is much more stressful than a normal job.

Yes, it is. I think I realized a while ago if I wanted to get a lot of money for little effort, I needed to do something novel and high risk, and didn't want to wait for raises at a normal company. Also I'm very lucky for ending up in this profession in the first place.

I grew up poor/homeschooled, parents made just enough money to disqualify me from financial aid but were in crippling debt so no help for college, so I couldn't go to school, then I worked at the WORST job ever - assembly line at a factory - for a year, and those things made
