Some selection bias that I think is worth noting: I don't think you have many hard right followers (of the Christian Conservative variety) who seem most given to that behavior

Roughly I'm probably more in common with the Right, but it would be very close.
That said, those that I stopped following were more because of how extreme their views were. I have stopped following several from each party as well.

If their posts are mostly angry political rants, yes. Never unfriended, but told Facebook to show me less their their shit.

I don't consider myself left or right; I get accused of being both depending on who I'm talking to. But yeah I've eliminated people from my feed who were just too extreme to talk to. These days they're usually on the left.

My answers here were Left and Yes. I've stopped being friends with people on both sides for their politics. I grew up in Texas, and around the time Obama got elected a lot of the people I grew up with started become ultra-right and supremely hateful. It was heartbreaking.
