He wants to raise taxes on ppl earning more than 400K a year. That sounds great to most of this country.

I have been poor my whole life, my parents were poor, and I have just finally started making more than 400k a year after tons of high risk hard work. The thought Biden wants to punish me for this is infuriating. I worked so hard for this. I'm already paying nearly 50% in taxes!!

When u were poor was the assistance and services u recieved adequate or would you have wanted them better. If you wanted them better remember that little poor kid you were and how you can make that difference

I don't remember getting anything from the government. When my parents ran low on food, the church helped them. When I moved out of the house, I never even thought to go to the government for help. In hindsight, being taught how to creatively work by ppl would have helped.

Churches aren't taxed, meaning what they would have spent on taxes can be spent on other things, like assistance to the needy. Indirect government assistance.

lol kinda, except it's definitely not government assistance. It's just... no government, and the people take care of themselves. The church provided babysitting services, meal cooking, financial aid for its members. It's crazy how that's actually possible!

In other words, indirect gov't assistance. Gov't could tax churches, but it doesn't; we have not allowed it. I mean, good for you for working yourself into a better life. Personally I'd like to contribute to the infrastructure to help others do exactly what you did. Taxes.

lol i guess. if you're a bully and you go around stealing ppl's money, but then don't steal Joe's money, you could call that "indirect bully assistance." I like contributing! I just think taxes are one of the most inefficient ways of helping other people.
