I have been poor my whole life, my parents were poor, and I have just finally started making more than 400k a year after tons of high risk hard work. The thought Biden wants to punish me for this is infuriating. I worked so hard for this. I'm already paying nearly 50% in taxes!!

Thank goodness your parents didn’t have to pay *even more* a month in taxes for things rich people paid for without even feeling the impact. Would you really rather poor people (like your own family growing up) not be able to pay food/rent at all, just so u don’t feel “punished”?

I absolutely do not think we should increase taxes on poor people either. I don't think we should increase taxes on anyone - I would prefer to lower taxes on both the poor and the wealthy.

Then who pays for schools, parks, roads, libraries etc? This is how a society works. We all pay in some so we can share communal things.

We can still pay for all those things with lower taxes, there's HUGE amounts of government we can cut out that aren't those things.

What things exactly are you thinking could be done away with? I don't think you have thought very seriously about this but if you have please explain what we should get rid of?

I think a lot can be privatized - e.g., NYC subway system was built by private companies. A lot of the military seems... overblown. Also healthcare costs - other western countries pay less per capita in healthcare than we do but with better outcomes.
