A bit ago an online brigade got absolutely outraged when I kept insisting I wasn't a racist. They kept saying "but everyone is informing you you are, stop denying it." Dude, a mob's insistence doesn't determine reality. I'm not a racist. There's a good chance you aren't either.

Unfortunately that's not how it works now. when I was religious people told me constantly I was inherently sinful and bad, even when I was a child, even when I was good - sometimes people dont apply their theories correctly at all.

Nothing bothers me more than the groupthink of a mob. I once got into an argument with literally EVERYONE at a small party about whether the eyeballs or fingertips were the most sensitive part of the body. That experience showed me how incredibly powerful social compliance is.
