Why don't I like vegetables? You'd think I wouldn't find them disgusting if they're so good for me. I keep putting vegetables in front of me and going 'ok I'll really eat them this time' and then I just don't eat them.
I mean, I don't understand anyone liking eggplant. And zucchini consumption seems to just be about disposal, as it's the one vegetable that seems to grow like weed.
eggplant is gross. kale, those lil cooked tomatoes, bell pepper, squash, cucumber, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, idk. all of them. im mostly ok with big not-cooked tomatoes.
Something i learned from a chef friend fairly recently is that vegetables vary greatly even within the same type (fries that burnt more because the potatoes were picked at a different time allowing them to develop more of their starches into sugars for example)
I'm pro veggie much more do as an adult but i also recognize a lot of produce is kind of bad here in the states vs where i grew up (Israel) likely longer transport times and different farming methods. A simple tomato cucumber salad with olive oil is a comfort food.
