This obviously is very bad. But the movement that resulted in this seeming like a reasonable option is large, and it's affecting everything.

"the movement that resulted in this seeming like a reasonable option is large" Which is weird, because despite that, i haven't seen anyone from that large-movement say, "This is good and people should support this" the activist-set instead say, "this is just wacky outliers"

Sure, but the "wacky outliers" are one - not as much an outlier as your think, and two - are using something as a basis for this radicalization. The general movement is utterly failing to install strong preventative measures against people radicalizing their own movement.
