I don't know a lot about this field - can I get other opinions on this thread? It seems pretty reasonable and optimistic, tho I'm default skeptical of anybody who uses the phrase 'big pharma'. (also h/t )

1/ There is growing evidence that T-cell immunity allows populations to reach herd immunity once only 10-20% are infected with SARS-CoV-2. This would explain why a highly transmissible virus in densely populated areas peaked at 10-20% infected regardless of lockdowns or masks.

i do think 'big pharma' is very bad - it's mostly people who allude to it as a malevolent entity that's doing a conspiracy thing makes me more cautious, since that tends to be highly correlated with them also saying inaccurate things

It seems to me if a cold could give me immunity to COVID-19 then it should also give me immunity to colds, yes? And yet I get colds from time to time – by his logic, shouldn’t the first one have prevented future colds?
