I like a lot of 'eye contact hippie' category things. Feeling into energy together, crying together, crazy weird spiritual experiences, bizarre communication styles - I'm into it. But I feel very turned off by the vast majority of classes/communities around this stuff. 1/

Tantra classes, relating games, or anything that's exploring other modes of being in an instruction/exploration setting make me wanna throw up in my mouth. I suspect it's due to the structure? Like 'trying' to make it happen transforms it from beautiful into a creeping horror. 2

The biggest exception to this is circling. Circling has a container and has people coming with intent to do a weird thing, but it seems okay - maybe cause I've done almost exclusively surrendered leadership which is basically full anarchy, and that feels sufficiently organic?

My daughter offers a Circling subscription w multiple opportunities per week. Everyone has to learn the Nedera process before they are allowed in. The capacity to witness and process the emotional material that inevitably arises keeps the Circling clear and safe and wonderful.

I did a lot of all that stuff in my 20s during the 90s. Eventually you shed the structure and the making a "thing" out of it and it just becomes an additional aspect of how you relate to people & the world. Classes/teachers and even having terminologies for it seem childish now.
