I think a big reason why people get combative whenever nonmonogamy is brought up is that it's no longer cool to denounce homosexuality, premarital sex, kinks, etc. Dunking on polyamory (along with sex work) is one of the few acceptable ways of signaling sexual conservatism today.

ohhh yeah. Absolutely. Lots of 'cuck' and 'slut' language.
the only people i ever have a conversation with regarding polyamory are my partners lol. i suppose i am not on the parts of the internet where other people say bad things about it.

and people who use the terms cuck and slut derogatorily are categorically not worth interacting with imo.
