Without looking it up, how many unarmed black men would you guess were shot to death by cops in 2019, in the United States?

Honest question: how much do we believe/trust the self-reported statistics on police violence?

I haven’t even looked up the answer to your question, but even if I did, I’d be dubious of whatever it showed. It’s my understanding that the record keeping on this has been absent, self-serving, and sparse at best.

Specifically statistics, which should be the de facto required math in high schools nationwide.

I replied 101-300, but if the answer options were different, I'd probably guess a lot higher.

This number is quite low, but (i) a good many of the high-profile black deaths in police custody were not shot and (ii) a good deal of the anger/fear is driven as much by low-level harassment than by death.

Looks like I'm in the group which knows the correct stat of less than 15. People voting for higher numbers explains why we keep having riots. People are assuming a national emergency when in fact we've seen a vast improvement over last few decades.
