When 'infected' people are mean to me i'm just like... i don't get it. I would *never* be that mean to them. I would never insult them for stating their opinions, I wouldn't kick them out of groups they kick me out of. There's some terrible asymmetry going on here.

I get it and understand your point totally. I'm not tripping on your comment or passing judgement at all I just found it a little funny because being called infected is pretty insulting regardless of the validity of insult.

This distinction is so important. What is a good descriptive term that refers only to the mean-spirited, exclusionary, inquisitorial tendencies of these people, but spares their heightened concern for certain disadvantaged classes of people?

right, that's why i'm using the term 'infected' instead of SJW. I want a term that doesn't get muddled in the attempts to actually do good.
