I'm drawn to saying controversial things because I think they shouldn't be controversial. I'm mad that people get furious over true things because of external implications that they see as bad. I want to keep saying true things for the sheer point of being able to say them.

I'm afraid of the world where people stop saying true things because they're afraid of what it might mean.

There's some yes, but not because I personally don't want to say them but because I'm afraid of people hurting me if I do.

I think this is really common fwiw, especially for organizations Not sure how to change the situation, other than to gradually distance & insulate from the people causing hurt, while avoiding being a target in the meantime

Hurting you physically? I feel being afraid to speak does more damage in the mental and spiritual planes than taking a "risk" and speaking in the material plane.
