This happened. World War. Seemed the US boomed: giniC went down. Proletariat enthusiasm & innovation more than made up for top-heavy brilliance (& moats). Though it all regressed back to Pareto.

The world would be less wealthy and also since today's world has much more of the 0.1% comprised of the cognitive elite, it would also be dumber and possibly missing out on much future innovation/R&D.
