I wanna move out of the US but there's not a lot of other countries more libertarian. Friggin Andora? Portugal? I just want to not pay tax and also freely eat drugs.

Yes, but overall pretty similar tax burden to the US, except 1-2 orders of magnitude less effort to find me taxes, and we also get universal healthcare etc. in exchange. Completely unaffordable housing is biggest downside.

New Zealander here. Out of interest, what marginal tax rate do you pay? Highest tax rate in NZ is 33% with no extra state taxes. I thought Cali would be higher with fed and state taxes for someone on medium to high income?

On an average U.S income living in California you would pay around 22% in Federal taxes and 9% in state taxes
