I've been struggling to find a good term to sum up the Bad Thing it's not exactly BLM or SJW, as those are broad and conflated with some actually good and sympathetic ideas at the root. Same with wokism.
I've started using the term 'The Infection' and it feels perfect.

People can "be infected"; it has the connotation of a viral thing that modifies the hosts. There can be degrees of infection. People can be showing symptoms of infection. And it refers specifically to the damaging, viral aspects, without getting confused with the original good.

Not sure your view on , but he’d call it “ideological posession”. People stop thinking critically (or individually) and instead prosecute for their cultural dogmas. Bonus: The phrase works/applies equally well across the political spectrum.

I just think religion. Is religion good or bad? A debate for the centuries. But whatever you want to call this insidious movement, it definitely has all the trappings of religion, in my view.

I like the use of "The Infection," though I think I'll personally use "Dogmatic Infection" as it won't get confused with a disease-causing organism and offers a description that clarifies the problem.
