You could see it as a filter where you skim off the principal components that obscure what you want to talk about. If there was a way in which people have to decide which account to follow, you could create an account where everyone just follows you for your mind...

Don’t feel too bad. I’ve been on Twitter since 2009 and have less than 400 Followers, at least half of which are Bots. You’ll be fine.

I think that's more of a reflection on what subjects get more followers in general. Those followers won't even necessarily include the same followers you have here, so can you compare them?
