For a moment there I was impressed by your crowd (100% yes), and then I realized I was the first voter.

I think the first order effects of this are maybe not as clear-cut, but the second order effects of it being impossible are immense in terms of freedom and peace of mind etcetera Plus we can always add more lifespan technologically later.

I have watched episodes of the Twilight Zone where people get to press a magic button and there are always unanticipated negative consequences. So while this might sound like a reasonable deal, I am afraid of what else might happen.
-
Same. I'm far too wary of magic buttons to buy in. For all we know, the sexual assault is prevented by the prospective victim and perpetrator both suddenly exploding on contact.

I really want to hear the reasoning behind the "No" voters

My last remaining grandmother or one of my parents might suddenly drop dead because of this and I'm really tired of funerals. Also how do I know this isn't replaced by other forms of violence? And I want to live forever. Sorry.

The trauma and stress of sexual harassment and rape easily take 5 years off everyone's lives. It's a fair trade.
-
1. Not everyone gets raped. 2. How would a person that knows that they will die in exactly 5 years decide?
