When I was 10, I went to a church-hosted all-girls sleepover. They did nail painting, popcorn eating, etc. But then they were gonna watch the Princess Diaries. I REALLY wanted to watch the Princess Diaries - but I knew probably my parents wouldn't approve. 1/

Wow! My daughters watched those movies. I cannot understand why that would be a problem? I sometimes hear stories like this and I think childhood was a prison for you. Even though your folks were adults, it sounds like they had no free thought. They were prisoners to the church.
