While I agree in a bubble Reply guys who are just trying to force someone to 'debate me' then get haughty when people say no are common enough to be their own genre. Debate is important, but it's often rhetorical rather than reasoned and refusing to debate known bad actors...

This from people who insist on a taxonomy and hierarchy of victimhood often based on physical appearance, fetishising certain groups as most worthy of sympathy and support. Doubt is the starting point from which all learning and self-improvement grows FFS.

It's not a matter of simply asking questions, but rather finding out the right questions to ask and whether to entertain them. In fact, "fundamentalists" were questioning evolution since it was mainstream in attempts to undermine it and push religion. /1
