I'm extremely into wearing earrings as a sensory experience; I like big heavy ones that pull on my earlobes, and optimize for ones that will have noticeable swing.
I've got one ear hole that is tight and hard to find and takes me like 5 minutes to use. How do I fix?

I tried gauging it with a very low gauge, which did work and it was easy to put earrings in for a few months, but eventually it closed up again. Do I just need to semiregularly wear a gauge to keep it open?

You could get it repierced at a larger gauge (maybe 16 or 18 instead of the standard 20). That might be more permanent.
Also helpful would be to always wear earrings. Most people with body piercings don't take their jewelry out unless it's to clean or swap.

That, or keep wearing a small earing or stud. Otherwise most pierced holes will close up eventually.
