What's the most effective criticism/feedback you've received, that made you stop and go 'whoah i am actually doing all of this poorly you're right' and significantly change your behavior afterwards?

When I was a skilled but junior graphic designer, a senior business dude, the kind that I didn’t respect, completely trashed my style. He sat down next to me & we redesigned the entire website together in an hour. It was very classy, making me realize how immature my “style” was.

A good friend once told me that I had many good qualities but I was very self centered in my behaviour. Her point really hit home when she paraphrased Dumbedore- "It's our choices, far more than our abilities, that show what we truly are Akhil". That got me to introspect & change

When I was 28 or so, my jiujitsu teacher sat me down and told me arguing with people was foolish, and I should make an effort to get along with everyone. I stopped picking quarrels and got my life together.
