I think homeschooling is a lot higher variance than public schooling. I was homeschooled and had gaps in subject matter and gave me weird social skills, but I still consider it a net positive in that I developed a healthy, independent, self-directed approach to learning. twitter.com/liminal_warmth

yeah i think so. I was two grades ahead, and then they started using an online program to help school me and adjusting to that meant i was 1 grade ahead. And I mostly didn't learn much about stuff like evolution or world history. It was also a bad system for math for me.

I mean my education hasn't stopped; it started out with typical homeschooling but i continued to read about whatever interested me well into adulthood.
