In a similar fashion, Gender is a social construct, so there can't be any evidence of height differences between men & women.

except height differences are due to sex differences and not gender

I’ll actually have to disagree here. I do agree that the American conception of “race” is a concept set forth by a ruling class to oppress its subjects. It just encapsulates too many variables to be scientifically real. It’s much easier if you talk about it’s components..

Which one could define as Ethinicity, Culture, Nationality and Religion. Now only ONE of these has a real biological basis. The other 4 are quite literally cultural constructions. The problem people really run into here is that some want to talk about ethnicity as if it was..

I think this tweet could have been made more clear, but my guess at what he means is that "race" as a concept kind of goes away when you actually understand it. Like, the lines society draws between races, who is lumped together and who is split up is rather arbitrary.
-
And of course if you're measuring something that's very unlikely to have a strong biological correlation but very likely to be effected by cultural bias (and then running it through the filter of only interesting stuff getting published) you'll end up with mostly flawed studies.

If you look at the genetic dimensions that account for the most possible genetic variance between people, then races pop right out of the structure. Not arbitrary at all.pic.twitter.com/wVKo0ciQkA
