I googled about posture correction earlier today. Just now I got a RT from someone about posture correction. It appears to be an account that primarily shares tips/ads... and I was following them? I don't remember doing this, I'd never follow that. Is this a new twitter ad thing?

You were probably following someone popular who got bored of twitter or needed cash, so they sold their account to an ad company.
The ad company then removed all the tweets and pictures and so on (but not the followers) and started posting their ads.

Posture is a made up concept derived from when the camera was invented and physical culture started to become developed....

Most time efficient way of correcting your posture is to do weighted squats and deadlifts. You don’t need to lift heavy. If you use proper form weightlifting is very safe and if you don’t care about m aking the numbers go up it’s easy. *Starting Strength* Mark Rippetoe gd intro

No. There are often accounts with 1 good post then it's all BS ads and other crap after you follow it. I also hate to see a decent viral post where after you open the thread, it's all about, "while your here, let's talk about something unrelated where you give me money." No.

FWIW, after decades of unhelpful (and in some ways literally harmful) posture advice from physiotherapists, I've found Esther Gokhale's guidance to be the best. The only problem is an overemphasis on "this is THE correct way to do posture" which isn't really true. 1/

Is it that Survivalist account with badly-written “life hacks”? I was also surprised until I saw the Tweets were Promoted.

I mean both of them seem very unlikely. I've never accidentally followed anyone before, and this account isn't followed by anybody I'm following, and it's outside my sphere - it's male specific style tips.
