I feel much less threatened when I get ratio'd by conservative people than when I do by progressives. I blocked almost nobody this last ratio, whereas time before that I blocked everyone. I'm not totally sure why; I think I imagine right-leaning people have less power to hurt me?

I’ve heard (and personally feel) this sentiment from others too. Something about the left is more frightening. I want to say it’s because it tries to impose its will more than the right but that POV feels like it could be letting the right off the hook?

Yeah, having come from the right I don't think that seems quite right. Maybe the right wants to control actions (e.g., abortion clinics) more, and the left wants to control ideology (e.g., everything is racist), and the left seems more likely at accomplishing their goals?

Maybe it is because you “come from the right” and so there is an early ingrained sense of “we” not matter what else has happened since

I have also noticed left-leaning people are more likely to think someone is "bad", "greedy" etc whereas people on the right say something is "incorrect / wrong" and more likely to engage in debate. Caveat: This is only observed from my bubble.
