I'm not vindictive. I have a lot of fondness and compassion for my old culture and regularly defend it against unreasonable people. I want to help people who doubt who might never hear another perspective. It's not borne out of hate at all.
When you are trying to deconvert someone from their religion, spreading doubt and preying on people's fears so they become atheist, it is pretty evil and vindictive. How can you say you have a fondness to Christianity when you are trying to deconvert people from it?

If people are getting a lot out of their religion, I leave them alone. I really only talk to the ones who obviously are having a hard time. It seems like religion is hurting those people and I want to help

I think some people are mistaking your compassionate intention for a cruel one. There are certainly cruel people who want to torment the superstitious but I’m assuming you’re offering encouragement to those first questioning what they’ve been trained is forbidden to question.
