I can imagine some responses: if you believe religion/faith/spirituality is valuable and sacred, it seems horrific to guide people away from it. Or, it's like going to an AA meeting and validating someone who is struggling to maintain sobriety and offering them a drink.

I used to be devoutly religious and participate on those kinds of forums. I also know how hard and painful it was to lose my faith. When I see people that remind me of what I went through, I want to give them support and encouragement.
