If you've ever owned or currently own a robot vacuum (aka roomba), are you very satisfied with it?

I have a knock off brand. I love it. Though admittedly you have to watch it cause it likes to get tangled in the cables.

Gave it away years ago. It was more of a hassle to clean the damn thing than to vacuum yourself.

It's a decent piece of tech.
Also robot lawn mowers are nice, just mind that chinese knockoffs have quirks

have a knockoff roomba from xiaomi, it's kinda cute but eh, it seems to miss stuff. dyson vacuum (I have an old 2nd-hand model from a friend – v6?) is where it's at for me. light, actually kinda fun to use and catches everything

I'm very satisfied! Experience:
1. In a small apartment I found the randomly moving robot to be fine. I have a cheap Eufy, which is $160 on amazon. Its biggest problem is I don't have the recommended room for it to auto-dock, so I pick it up

Mine does a great job and serves as a forcing function to tidy up a bit before it runs.

In my experience, they are too finicky re: edges of carpets and the like. I have switched to a Dyson cordless and am never going back.

Had a roomba for several years. Works OK IF you don't have long hairs. Mine died when my girlfriend moved in.
Another important thing to know is that it will work significantly better on uniform surfaces rather than old wooden floor or carpet.

The new ones work much better than the early generations, but I still have to run the real vacuum weekly.

I’m a robotics engineer and immediately started hacking it, so while I’m very satisfied, it doesn’t actually *vacuum* anymore...
