If any of you don't know what SSC is, it's probably the best blog on the internet, featuring nuanced, skilled, and compassionate explorations of a wide variety of topics. It's loss is a serious tragedy and I am really angry at the reporter who forced him into this.

I'm canceling my NYT subscription right now. In the process I found out that my subscription fees had increased from $12.50 to $27 / month, without any warning.... very shitty,

I refuse to give any clicks until an apology is issued. I just adjusted my settings on Google News to suppress their articles (click “hide source” on ellipses) and encourage anyone who stands with Scott to do the same until this is rectified.

that a person who thought thoroughly without any animus in his heart can be purged from discourse for no reason other than the extent of his thought & an unwillingness to accept others at their word
