Is being invulnerable to attacks compatible with being otherwise open and vulnerable about one’s flaws and insecurities instead of creating a tough facade? a twitter n00b wondering
-
yeah, maybe even necessary. It's way more easy to be vulnerable about your flaws if you feel secure in having a house/income/community.

Aye aye on #2. There's, alas, little room for conversational give-and-take these days, because any concession is an invitation for attack. Some advice I gave someone the other day:pic.twitter.com/NHxlfiweWx

Part of being invulnerable is figuring out who it matters what they think about you. It shouldn't matter what strangers (internet or real life) think of you. They like you? Great. They don't? So what? Either way it really doesn't matter. It's the people that count that matter.
