1. I'm *extremely* impressed. She knows what's going to happen to her for posting it and is doing it anyway. That plus the compassion and nuance makes me an instant fan.
2. I wish she'd put a little more word count into steelmanning the radical trans position. 1/

The whole TERF community willfully ignores that trans women are at huge risk of being sexually assaulted or raped in places like prisons. Trans women are not predators. Nor are men by and large, tbh. But the TERF belief system rests heavily on the idea that XY = predator.

If I had to make a prediction, I'd predict that trans women commit sexual assault at much higher rates than women do, and are also victims of sexual assault at much higher rates than men are.

The interesting thing is that when I ask for proof of things like this (men dressing up as women to get into bathrooms just to sexually abuse) I get crickets.
I can understand having a fear. But we have a bad history of basing laws on things that don't actually happen.

Yeah. It’s clearly just not something that happens almost at all. If it did, you would definitely hear about it from the anti-trans brigade.

This is an interesting list.
The main thing it shows is that criminals come in all forms and I don't think anybody is trying to claim that. But what about bathroom laws would prevent, let's say, a simple majority of these?
