1. I'm *extremely* impressed. She knows what's going to happen to her for posting it and is doing it anyway. That plus the compassion and nuance makes me an instant fan.
2. I wish she'd put a little more word count into steelmanning the radical trans position. 1/

3. She seemed to miss that men are victims of sexual assault at really high rates too.
The last two are minor complaints under the shadow of her MASSIVE BALLS tho so give it a read.

The whole TERF community willfully ignores that trans women are at huge risk of being sexually assaulted or raped in places like prisons. Trans women are not predators. Nor are men by and large, tbh. But the TERF belief system rests heavily on the idea that XY = predator.

If I had to make a prediction, I'd predict that trans women commit sexual assault at much higher rates than women do, and are also victims of sexual assault at much higher rates than men are.

I don’t know if there is adequate data to test your first prediction, though I would predict rates closer to that of cis women, accounting for bias against reporting assaults by cis women. I expect HRT status is also something of a factor.

The interesting thing is that when I ask for proof of things like this (men dressing up as women to get into bathrooms just to sexually abuse) I get crickets.
I can understand having a fear. But we have a bad history of basing laws on things that don't actually happen.

The numbers say otherwise
amssasc.ca/statistics/
Trans people are assaulted BECAUSE they’re trans more often than not, and the idea of “traps” has led to murders because people cannot accept their partner has different genitalia than expected.
Trans people are not assaulters

Do not make such harmful predictions, please. There is nothing supporting that claim and it only makes it harder for trans people to be respected. It encourages hate and discrimination
