I have the same problem. Would recommend drinking calories. What worked for me was adding a protein shake a few hours after eating dinner. The surplus adds up over time

When I was trying not to lose weight when doing an extreme cardio sport, I would add a shotglass of olive oil to my morning shake. It helped! If you need extra calories, always go with oils over sugars.
