I have such a strong senation that I need to fight this really hard, like everything in me is screaming NO at the world, but I don't know what to do except maybe move. Because the fear in me makes inelegant tweets, so I mostly try to not explode with the words I want to.

If anything is triggering, it means you need to take a step back. Spend that free time reflecting on why it triggered you and how you can move past it. If you don’t give yourself that, you will fall into the confusion of opinions overload and be more stuck then you were before.

Calling someone racist doesn’t help change the other person’s views. Unfortunately, it has the opposite effect of hardening their views.
-
So even if you don’t consider yourself racist or are open to the argument that racism is systemic (it is), having that term so widely used may be having the unintended effect of alienating allies.
