I'd be way more sympathetic to the protesters if instead of shouting stupid shit (stream i'm watching they were chanting 'suck my dick') they were demanding concrete changes, like had a list of achievable demands that could be measurably met (opposed to e.g. 'be sorrier').

I need to go through a bunch of studies people linked me so my opinion is still malleable here, but so far from what I've read it seems if you adjust for criminality and a few other basic things, there's no disparity.

No I mean there's no disparity when adjusted. As in, if white people committed the same amount of crimes and lived in dangerous areas, they would get police brutality at the same rate.

Yep. It's really complicated. The police can possibly make a few changes that might help. But what if the main driver of this more fundamental and stems from things like income inequality and cultural differences. There is no easy fix for that. Or if you try to force a fix ->
