What is the point in this question? People who disagree with BLM politically are going to click the highest number despite having no idea how this raises the R rate. And vice versa for people who agree with the protests. It's a completely pointless survey.

People are biased on every survey tho. And there may not be a way of knowing which option was right since we can't access the alternate timeline where it didn't happen. Maybe some stat geeks can work it out afterwards.

It depends what you mean... How many people will die of the virus, who contracted it from a rioter? Probably a very small number. How many will have contacted a rioter, and happen to die in the next few weeks, increasing "covid deaths", for the media? 100,000+
-
Slow down there, because we’re well past the peak of the virus and we’ve only estimated just over 100,000 US deaths to the virus total. We won’t credit the virus for as many deaths in the next few weeks as we have over the entire time frame until now.

It will be hard to attribute. Most of the protesters are young and much less likely to die if they get sick. Older people they infect are at risk. These secondary effects are hard to untangle from opening effects. Also, I've seen quite a bit of mask wearing and distancing in videos

Too.many variables to really be able to narrow it down and like one person said. It could be skewed by personal belief. I'm wondering who thinks protesting this is worth risking exposure during a global pandemic.

The cost will be high, but is it really 'due to the riots' or is it due to the systematic racism that caused them to happen?
-
due to the protests, not the riots
