There are lots of good answers. End qualified immunity. Ban police unions. Enforce the law that requires police departments to report their killings. Make complaints against officers public. So many good answers.

I mean, yes. What I was referring to though was all the tough questions that have rough tradeoffs right now. Protest vs. covid? How much police force vs. protecting storefronts? Those are some of the low-hanging fruit tough ones but there's deeper worse nuanced ones too.

I see it as no good digital answers to analog problems. Like when they discovered the interconnectedness of our genes, decoding a large bureaucracy can feel like a Sisyphean task. One thing's for sure - there will be no shortage of more bureaucracy to "fix" what's already there.

I believe you mistake good for perfect in this case. Nothing's perfect. Strive for better. Accepting the same (whether one believes it's perfect or because it's too hard to change) is stagnation and bad.
