i tend to just go 'eh why not' and do random stuff, like move to a different country or get into sex work idfk. i sort of had this attitude going into plastic surgery and i did *not* anticipate how slow and hard the recovery would be. I'm doing better now but damn.

im glad i didn't know that before going in but i am sad this is true now. i'm on day 5 if you're counting surgery and just finally starting to be able to get a proper night's sleep.

I always think of that when people make bold claims about the advancements of medicine hitting transhumanist levels. Haha, nope, we cut things away and add other materials, but the healing and building is all the body itself. We are far away from truly enhancing lively processes.
