The developed world might learn from this and avoid a future pandemic, but as far as global deaths I can easily imagine another pandemic occurring that just hits the developing world even harder.
That's impossible to answer. A century is a long fucking time. This could easily be the worst pandemic in a hundred years, or it could be an irrelevant sidenote compared to something terrible showing up in 2080. Ask again in 2095, and it might be a reasonable question.
