I have a lot of difficulty recognizing faces, to the extent that it's occasionally inhibited my life. I also just assume other people don't recognize faces either, and won't recognize me, and I'm always shocked when someone recognizes me online from something they saw years ago.

or i met up with this dude once, we had a long dinner and talked for a while, and then three weeks later we met up again - but i was meeting him in a public place and i didn't recognize him. he walked up to me and i thought he was just asking me to move.
