I already prepared for post-apoc urban scavenging, don't spoil the fun. Stay at home.

You should do a pole on people who are making money and think we should open vs those who are not making money and think we should open.
-
Good point. In my experience people who are comfortably working from home (and getting paid) are the ones who are most happy to shame others for wanting to end the lockdown

You need a plan. Reopen, yes, but with universal mask wearing, and being able to self Quarantine again if you get symptoms, etc. Not just open and hope for the best.
-
The disease can be passed by people who are not displaying symptoms. How will those people know when to self-quarantine?

If people don’t do their part, no. In locations where the quarantine is half-assed absolutely not.

Seems some places are going to do that anyway. I think we should watch them as closely as possible and see what the results are.

We will have to. Quarantine has pros and cons, and at some point the cons will be bigger than the pros

There's not one answer for all areas. In PA, 80% of the deaths were in personal care homes, Philly County in the west has had >17K cases and Allegheny Count in the east <2K.

Not without widespread testing of damn near everyone, no. The end result of that will be a spike in deaths that will cause just as much harm to the economy as being closed but with the added bonus of lots of dead people. It invalidates everything sacrificed so far.
-
But with universal weekly testing, contact tracing, and selective quarantines of the effected and exposed, yes. That would keep things under control, keep the curve flattened, and still allow us to completely reopen. Universal testing would only need to go on a couple of months.
