I'm less familiar with Uncle Tom in actual usage, but isn't Chad usually a positive thing? Like flattery? I think I'm okay with positive sexism. I also don't know what Stan means.

Chad isn’t positive, Stan is an obsessive fan. All these terms criticize the behavior that happens to correlate more with the sex/specific identifying factors, it’s not because of the sex the behavior happens.

lol! I definitely thought chad was positive. I think i would be equally bothered by these male names if used in a similar fashion to Karen. Right now Karen is a *very* popular meme name, I don't think I've seen any other name, female or male, come close to its meme strength.

i mean idk if you're viewing me as some typical feminist, probably 90% of anything i say about gender on my twitter is heavily skewed towards pointing out the way men are oppressed. This is like the first time in a while that I've said anything about sexism towards women
so I'm not arguing with you that in a lot of ways culture is way more fine with making fun of men than women. Men are more disposable and less empathized with. I write about this on my blog! I just think this, specific Karen thing, also happens to be sexist against women.

Eh, pointing out a stereotype within a gender isn’t criticizing the gender as a whole, so I can’t see it as sexist.

yea sorry i did not read the dry humor, I've encountered a lot of people who say nearly indistinguishable things from you that don't have dry humor so text is hard sometimes.
