hot take: the 'karen' meme is sexist and i don't like it

Chad isn’t positive, Stan is an obsessive fan. All these terms criticize the behavior that happens to correlate more with the sex/specific identifying factors, it’s not because of the sex the behavior happens.
-
It's not? Shit.

Stan is a term to imply being a fervent fan or supporter or something, but used as a verb. Such as “we stan our favorite band”.

Uncle Tom is more of a black on black insult. Very serious insult at that. It has somewhat of a racial undertone of a black person being a brainwashed white suck up so it's not thrown around lightly. Some believe the use uncle Tom is done incorrectly but it's to big now.
-
Tldr; if you're black, you never want to be called a uncle tom ever.

I think "Karen" and "mansplaining" have the same vibe.

if anything, ‘Karen’ is more racist than sexist. And ‘Chad’ is certainly not a positive thing haha
