I ask a lot of questions but don't go into my beliefs too often. Here's a summary of my positions on some controversial things: * worker's unions are probably bad * body dysphoria is real and trans people should be able to transition as treatment *stereotypes are based on truth
-
-
*We should be more sympathetic towards cheaters *I'm scared of the loss of social structure and cohesion that's coming with loss of religion Aren't these at odds?
-
Not really? I don't mean I want religion back; only that it was providing some social norms that were helpful. I also think sympathy to cheating is also a helpful social norm, even if it's not a traditionally religious one.

Disagree on academia. It needs reform, not destruction, lol.
-
In a roundabout way, aren’t these the same? Destroying the spirit of what academia stands for currently is its destruction. Replacing it with a reformed system is the only way to complete the job as it is a power system that can not be left in a vacuum.
